EPITAPHES- VIES IMAGINEES

I’ve collected quite a few vintage identity photos over the years and thought they would come in useful one day. And sure enough, with Nathalie Delaborde, we undertook to create a project around the imaginary lives of these anonymous individuals. What fuelled our imagination was the look in their eyes… To us, these revealed untold stories… Light or dark fantasies that inspired surreal and painterly portraits, along with poetic texts, short epitaphes as tributes to their lives or hints to their deaths.
